Ergotorq Customer Feedback
|
Read what our customers have to say about ErgoTorq products!
"I have used the ErgoTorq line of products in the plants that I have launched for the past 5 years. As a result we have prevented countless tooling operator injuries from an inherent "pinchpoint hazard" that exists between the front of the nutrunner tooling and their driven attachments, with this product.
"I would reccomend that anyone who is interested in employee safety, seriously consider buying this quality product and mandating its use in their assembly process.
"ErgoTorq products work...period!"
"Our company is very concerned with the safety of our workforce. Because of this, our entire business group of about 10 plants made the pro-active decision to use ErgoTorq products to reduce the number of cumulative trauma injuries.
"These products also minimize the chance of "pinchpoint" injuries due to operators getting their kelvar gloves caught between the nutrunner and its driven socket.
"On a particular job, we needed a specialized torx bit holder length. Ergonomics Specailties, the ErgoTorq manufacturer came through for us, and we have reduced our downtime greatly at the job because the torx bit no longer slips off the head of the fastener.
"We have also reduced nutrunner repair costs because the bearings on the ErgoTorq product eliminates wobble in the extension. The gears of the nutrunner last longer and maintin better torques on Customer Critical (CC) fasteners."

Position of Purchaser:
Manufacturing Engineer
Name/Location of Manufacturing Facility: Assembly Facility, Windsor,
ON, Canada
What have been
the benefits that you have seen since the installation of our "ErgoTorq"
product on your assembly tooling ?
This was strictly a "Safety Concern" issue that was immediately resolved
with the use of ErgoTorq,
no tooling issues were being addressed.
What type(s)
of applications are you currently using "ErgoTorq"
on, and why was the product installed ?
"ErgoTorq"
Collars were purchased as a "Solution" to a Pinch-Point Problem that
exists between the front of Anglehead nutrunner tools (any manufacturer)
and the back of various attachments being used. Two employees had their
fingers "Amputated" when their work glove got caught up in this pinch
point.
Can you provide
any data that would verify the improvements that "ErgoTorq"
provides ?
No - This is proprietary information
Has the product
met your expectations ? Do you have any suggestions for product improvement
?
Yes! It provided an immediate effective "solution" to this problem,
eliminating the possibility of any future injuries.
Are you aware
that "ErgoTorq"
can be used on any tooling application where torque quality and extension
or socket wobble is a problem, from pistol grip tools to multi-spindle
nutrunners ?
Yes
If your "ErgoTorq"
product is being used on a manual operation, what has been the response
of the operators to its installation ?
The
"Safety Concern" has been resolved. (peace of mind)
What do you like
most about the product ?
The product provided an immediate, effective solution to this very
serious safety concern.
The solution to this
problem comes from ErgoTorq's
patent pending design which completely covers the connection between the
tool's square drive and the driven attachment, completely eliminating
the pinch point and the potential for this problem to occur.

"ErgoTorq" Solves
Nutrunner "PinchPoint" Safety Problem! |
Over the past few
months, it has been identified that one of the many benefits provided
by ErgoTorq
Collar units has proven to be the resolution
to a serious safety problem inherent with anglehead nutrunner type tooling.
This problem has
resulted in a broken and an amputated finger at two different manufacturing
facilities.
The problem occurs
when operators who normally wear gloves while operating their tool place
their hand over the head of the tool to gain better control. When they
do this, the glove can then come in contact with the joint between the
tool square drive and the driven attachment. The space that normally exists
between the front of the tool and the back of the loosely fitted attachment
now becomes a pinch point which can grab the glove and pull the operators
hand into the tool while it is running. With the speed and torque that
these tools are running at, serious injuries can occur very quickly.
The solution to this
problem comes from ErgoTorq's
patent pending design which completely covers the connection between the
tool's square drive and the driven attachment, completely eliminating
the pinch point and the potential for this problem to occur.
Although we cannot
take credit for identifying this potential problem during the design of
our Collars, it has proven to be another significant "Problem Solving"
feature provided by the product.
